Geotechnical Engineering Services
Slope Stability Assessment
At Tectonic we have grown to carry out over 300 slope stability assessments annually, and our team have experience individually of over 40 years specific to the coastal and terrestrial environments typical of south-east Queensland. Projects have included prominent state and local infrastructure, broadscale assessment of large development sites and specialist work on individual residential sites. We help clients navigate problem sites, and those developing or building in Council’s steep land or landslide hazard overlay areas.
Geotechnical Investigations
Geotechnical investigations obtain information on the physical properties of the underlying soil and rock prior to design and construction. With our wealth of local knowledge, we are able to offer up front discussion and tailor our investigations to suit the anticipated range of ground conditions and geo-hazards.
Acid Sulfate Soil Assessments
Our experienced scientists and engineers can provide site assessment and management advice to mitigate potential impacts relating to ASS to meet and comply with local planning schemes and policies.
Wastewater Treatment & Effluent Disposal
On-site wastewater and sewage treatment facilities are used for the treatment and disposal of wastewater and domestic sewage on properties in unsewered areas. We have a range of experience in demonstrating feasibility of on-site treatment for small residential projects, eco-tourism facilities and larger commercial developments. Previous work has included detailed modelling and successful negotiation with key stakeholders including Queensland Department of Environment and Science and SEQ Water.
Construction Stage Geotechnical Services
Tectonic’s experienced geotechnical engineers are available to provide a variety of services during the construction of your project, including design (e.g. temporary works) inspections, verification and certification.
Forensic Engineering & Expert Witness
Tectonic have a number of senior engineers with 30 to 40 years experience individually, and a proven track record in providing specialist geotechnical investigation and expertise in support of legal counsel.
